For today’s episode I interviewed Maisoun Sharkawi. Maisoun is a researcher and lecturer. She holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Lorraine- Nancy. Her thesis explores the social, historical and economic environment in which the concept of Palestinian cultural heritage has been formulated throughout the past two centuries. I stumbled upon the research paper “Introducing Olive Culture in Palestine” written by her, on the website Myheritage.ps
If you want to read the report “Introducing Olive Culture in Palestine” you can go to https://www.myheritage.ps/researches/522.html
If you are interested to read more about the Masar Ibrahim hike path from the north to the south of the Westbank then you can find everything on https://www.masaribrahim.ps
The gift shop Star Bazaar of the Bethlehem Bible College where I study the tour guide program sells items of local artisans and craftsmen to support the local community and generates funds for scholarships. They support fair trade. They have an online shop from where you can order beautiful products directly from Bethlehem, including olive wood items. They are great Christmas gifts. They ship almost everywhere in the world, BUT it may take up to a month to arrive so don’t wait and go to their website to do some nice Christmas gifts shopping for a good cause. Their website is https://starbazaar.bethbc.edu/
